***Summer Hours: Due to high summer temperatures, trips will go for 6-8 hours depending on the weather and water temperature to help protect the fish. (Start time: 6 AM. End time: 12-2 PM depending on conditions)

This trip will take you through the beautiful and secluded Willow Springs Creek area, located below Willow Springs Lake on the rim about 45 minutes East of Payson. On this trip, the target species are stunning wild Brook Trout and Brown trout with a chance at some very unique surprises as well. This is an all-experience level fly-fishing, catch-and-release only trip with gear provided if needed. We will be using lightweight 3wt fly rods (or your own gear), which is perfect for the size range of fish offered in this creek for control and sensitivity. We will use a variety of dry and wet flies which will also be provided, but feel free to bring your own! The hike is very manageable for all ages and has a very well-maintained trail. This is a great experience to learn about one of Arizona’s few wild brook trout streams and enjoy all the rim has to offer! Book now!

This Trip will take you through the many, easily accessible stretches of the East Verde River, located just North of Payson. This experience is perfect for beginning fly anglers, but also offers some fun challenges for more experienced, technical anglers. The East Verde River is regularly stocked with good size Rainbow Trout and one of Arizona’s rare native trout, the Gila Trout, found only in Arizona and New Mexico. These are great fighting fish and lots of fun to target. We will provide fishing gear (if needed) and use a range of 3-5wt fly rods with a variety of dry and wet flies which will also be provided (if needed). With plenty of parking and easy river access, this is a great experience and manageable for all ages! Book now!
